Our School
The linguistic and educational success of second language learners is now well established. Learning a new language increases brain size and connectivity. People who speak 2 or more languages have significantly better cognitive abilities than those who speak only one.
Bilingual students score higher on standardized math, reading and vocabulary tests. They have better working memories, focus, and attention. Learning a 2nd language is one of the most effective and practical ways to increase intelligence.

The teachers at ILA are absolutely wonderful. Our kids love going to school there. They are learning French very well, and they like the small class sizes and access to the forest at recess. The administration can be a bit disorganized, but overall we have had a great experience. The field trips and longer camps (ski camp, Canoe Island) are a real benefit for learning skills and developing maturity.
